Our journey was started by an expert with 25+ years of experience in the saree world, and today we create ethnic wear that brings together the timeless charm of Indian culture with the elegance of modern fashion.

The special thing about Silkmala is our complete in-house production. From designing and weaving to printing and finishing, every single step is done under one roof by our own skilled artisans. We buy only raw yarn and carefully craft each piece—no outsourcing, no compromise.

Our work reflects the richness of Indian textiles, mixing age-old techniques with modern designs. Every saree and dress is made to help a woman feel graceful, confident, and close to her roots.

The Silkmala Story

2013–2014

🪡 The New Start

Silkmala’s story began with one simple dream—to keep Indian handloom alive. We started small, making pure raw fabric, and soon became a trusted name in the North East. People loved our cloth because it was strong, pure, and full of honesty.
2015–2017

🎨 Adding Colours of India

In these years, we moved ahead with dyed fabrics, bringing shades inspired by India’s festivals and traditions. Just like our country is full of colours, our fabrics too started carrying that same beauty. This was the time our weaving family slowly started growing.
2018–2020

⚙️ Building Strong Roots

By this time, Silkmala had crossed 100 weaving machines and achieved a big dream—complete in-house production. From design to dyeing, weaving to finishing—everything happened under one roof. We also launched our first sarees and ethnic dresses, directly connecting our work with Indian women who wanted to wear something graceful yet rooted.
2021–2023

🌺 Reaching More Hearts

Silkmala started spreading across India, making sure women everywhere could proudly wear our sarees. In 2023, we displayed our art in a public exhibition for the very first time—and the love we received was unforgettable. It felt like our hard work had truly blossomed.

🏭 Growing Together

Today, with 300+ weaving machines and a bigger team of skilled artisans, Silkmala is moving forward with even more strength. We are planning to enter new markets while staying connected to our roots—because every saree we make still carries the same soul of Indian tradition.
